We all know much-loved pubs from yesteryear that are no longer with us.
Some have undergone revamps and rebrands and are still serving loyal customers, just under a different name.
Others, like the estimated 400 boozers that closed for good across the UK last year, have sadly called time at the bar forever.
Many are knocked down to make way for development, others are converted into shops or flats.
But though they may be gone, they’re not forgotten – how many of these lost pubs of Chesterfield do you remember drinking in?

5. The White Swan
The White Swan, or Mucky Duck as it was affectionately know, sat directly across from the Crooked Spire. It's still a popular haunt for dinkers now, as the Pig and Pump - although there are still echoes if its former name in the stained glass swans in the windows.

6. The White Horse
The White Horse at Old Whittington is another local that is now a convenience store

7. The Phoenix
This is a rather sad-looking shot of the Phoenix pub in 1972. However, the venuw lived up to it's name and rose from the ashes to become today's Spa Lane Vaults.

The Angel, on Derby Road is yet another pub that has gone to boozer heaven and been reaplced by a Tesco
