9. High Street

10. Hudson's
Hudson's was the go to play for music in Chesterfield, with a number of shops selling records, cassettes and CDs. They also had a great iine in musical instruments for wanna be rockers too. The store on Market Place closed in 2002 and is now home to Meadowfresh butcher's Photo: Terry Walden
11. Chesterfield Co-op
This image from 1938 shows the Co-op Department Store on Elder Way. It's toy department was a big hit with generations of kids - who often went there to see Santa.
