Dare you face some of the Peak District’s most bone chilling and blood curdling areas to walk through at night? Then read on. Nowhere makes Halloween quite as chilling as the Peak District.
As a side note – if you plan on visiting any of these places, please make sure you have permission first – ghosts might be scary, but they’re not as frightening as a trespassing fine.
5. Bleaklow
Bleaklow is unique in that it plays host to an unusual gang of ghosts - the long-departed souls of Roman soldiers. While they aren't doing much roamin' these days (sorry), they are said to all follow the same walkway. It's believed that an ancient Roman road was built in Bleaklow, now long forgotten - but not to the spirits of the Roman Empire. Who says the Romans never did anything for us? Photo: Google
