So much has changed across Chesterfield over the years, but there are still some things that almost all residents who lived through the 70s, 80s and 90s will remember.

6. Iconic store
Hudsons dominated vinyl record sales in Chesterfield for decades and supplied thousands of instruments to the town's aspiring pop stars. The music shop ceased trading in 2012 after 105 years in business. Photo: DT

7. Old town centre shops
Woolworths opened in Chesterfield in September 1929. In 1976 the original Woolworths was demolished, and a new larger store was built. It closed in 1999. Photo: Submitted
