How many confirmed coronavirus cases are there in Derbyshire? Latest figures on Wednesday, April 15

Latest figures released by NHS England today, April 15, show there are currently 777 cases of coronavirus in Derbyshire.

In Derby, which is a separate area, there are 374 cases – an increase of seven from yesterday.

Sadly, nine more deaths of patients who tested positive for coronavirus have been recorded at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Nationally, a further 651 people who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 11,656.

Patients were aged between 20 and 101 years old. Twenty of them, aged between 20 and 101 years old, had no known underlying health condition.

The actual number of cases is estimated to be much higher though - as it is mostly those in hospital and some NHS and care home staff who are currently being tested.

More than 313,000 people have been tested for coronavirus so far.
