Derbyshire residents can help provide some joined up thinking for the future of care

Covid-19 has created some big and potentially long-lasting changes in the way that people across Derbyshire look after their health and care needs.

Many residents are using health and care services differently, and have important stories to tell about experiences and care during the pandemic.

Joined Up Care Derbyshire – the partnership of health and social care organisations working to look after the residents of Derby and Derbyshire – wants to hear from people to build on strengths in services and use patient stories to help shape future care.

Responses are private and only research staff taking part in this work will read your story.

Vikki Taylor, director of Joined Up Care Derbyshire, said: “We want to hear from as many people as possible about what health and care changes they have experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We’d like to hear how these have impacted their lives – both positively and negatively – and what lessons we can learn moving forward.

“The more people that take part, the more we can learn so please get involved in this important opportunity to shape health and care across our city and county.”

As part of the feedback people will be asked for their ideas about how they would like their health and care looked after in the future.

"There will also be questions about what people stopped doing during COVID, what they started doing differently, and what they plan to carry on doing.

"This might be about how they use health and care services or about how they look after their own health and care.

“Once all the feedback has been collected it will be shared across all partner organisations in Joined Up Care Derbyshire, to help shape services.”

The deadline to get in touch and give feedback is October 12.
