Three more Covid-related deaths recorded in Chesterfield Royal Hospital

There have been five more virus-related patient fatalities at Chesterfield Royal Hospital according to the latest Government health data.

A total of three patients are confirmed to have died in Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust after testing positive for Covid-19, the daily health statistics out this afternoon (February 22) have shown.

There have now been 380 patients who have lost their lives from the virus while being cared for by Chesterfield Royal Hospital since the pandemic first hit last year.

Nationwide, a further 178 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 81,482.

Patients were aged between 25 and 101 years old. All except 7 (aged 47 to 97 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Their families have been informed.

Today at 7pm Boris Johnson is set to announce a ‘roadmap’ for easing lockdown restrictions.
