Three more Covid-19 deaths in Chesterfield

A further three people have died from Covid-19 in Chesterfield, latest figures have shown.

Most recent data released this afternoon (December 6) from NHS England revealed that the patients died from the deadly virus while being treated in Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

This brings Chesterfield’s coronavirus death toll to 191.

On Saturday (December 6), Chesterfield recorded one death.

Across England, 195 more people who tested positive for coronavirus have died bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals to 42,389.

This national figure however is lower compared to yesterday’s 315 deaths.

Patients were aged between 27 and 100. All except two, aged between 84 and 90, had known underlying health conditions.

The deaths were between October 30 and December 5.

Sixteen other deaths were reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.

Their families have been informed.

Vaccinations against coronavirus will start at Chesterfield Royal Hospital from Tuesday next week, as the trust is one of the first 50 hubs to receive the jab.
