The statistics which document how many people have died from coronavirus from March 1 to May 31, 2020 in Chesterfield, show which areas of the town have been hardest hit by the disease.
Staveley and Norbriggs, which were grouped together as one area in the data set, had the highest percentage of Covid-19 deaths – with 38% of the area’s total deaths between March and the end May due to the virus.
While Spital and Hasland had the highest number of coronavirus deaths in Chesterfield as 12 people from the area sadly lost their lives to the disease, according to the Office for National Statistics.
Boythorpe and Birdholme was the least affected area of the town, with just 1 Covid-19 related death from March to May.
