Number of positive Covid-19 tests in Chesterfield increases by more than 100 per cent in a week

The number of people testing positive for coronavirus in Chesterfield has increased by more than 110 per cent in a week, according to the most recent figures.

Over the seven days up to Saturday, October 24, 290 people have tested positive – an increase of 152 or 110.1 per cent.

Sadly, over the course of the same seven-day period one person has died in the town within 28 days of a positive test.

A total of 76 people tested positive for the virus on Saturday.
