NHS data confirms further two coronavirus fatalities at Chesterfield Royal Hospital

An additional two patients have died from the virus while being treated at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, the most recent NHS England data has confirmed.

The latest figures which show the number of deaths reported by Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust from 4pm on November 18 to 4pm on November 19, reveals that two more people have passed away after contracting Covid-19.

This brings the total number of coronavirus related fatalities at the Trust up to 174, from when the pandemic first hit earlier this year.

Across England, a further 326 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died in hospital, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in England’s hospitals up to 37,796.

Patients were aged between 29 and 100 years old and all but six people had known underlying health conditions.

The fatalities occurred between September 11 to November 19 of this year and their families have been informed.
