Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust confirmed on Thursday a total of 432 deaths linked to Covid have been recorded since the pandemic began.

This represents an increase on the 417 total reported by the trust on Monday.

Figures include patients with a positive swab result and those treated clinically for Covid where it was confirmed by other means.

On Monday, Chesterfield Royal Hospital spokesperson Simon Towers said the number of positive cases of Covid-19 at the trust is continuing to fall in line with the national picture.

Latest figures from NHS England reveal that 346,001 Derbyshire residents had received their first Covid-19 vaccine doses as of February 28.

Analysis by the Local Democracy Reporting Service shows that 41.15 per cent of all residents in the county aged 16 and over and 95.15 per cent of all residents aged 65 and above have been vaccinated.
