How you can donate to foodbanks during coronavirus lockdown in North East Derbyshire

Food donation points have been set up across North East Derbyshire in a bid to help vulnerable people during the coronavirus lockdown.

North East Derbyshire District Council, together with its housing partner Rykneld Homes, is urging people to donate whatever they can to assist the elderly and those in self-isolation.

People can drop off supplies at these locations and times: Mondays – Wingerworth Parish Hall – 12 – 2pm; Tuesdays – Stonebroom Pavillion – 12 – 2pm; Wednesdays – Ashover Parish Hall – 12 – 2pm; Thursdays - Eckington Civic Centre – 12 – 2pm and Clay Cross Area Housing Office – 12-2pm; Fridays – Dronfield Leisure Centre - 12 – 2pm.

Items to donate include tins, jars of pasta sauce,, tea, coffee, long life milk, sugar, powdered mashed potatoes, margarine, soap, shampoo, washing powder, washing liquid and dry packets of rice and pasta.
