The data, released by NHS England, covers the period from 8 December – when the first patient in England received the jab – to 17 January, which means the actual number of people who have received their first shot of protection against Covid-19 in the county will be higher.
In total, 73,883 people had received at least one vaccine dose by 17 January. Of this number, 3,332 people have been vaccinated twice.

Hide AdThe data also shows 31,630 recipients were aged 80 or over – 1,330 of whom have now received their second jab.
The highest number of doses for this period – 271,536 – were given in Cumbria and the North East.
To date, 1,324 people have died in Derbyshire within 28 days of a positive test, government data shows.
Minister for Covid vaccine deployment Nadhim Zahawi said the UK remains on track to meet its first vaccination target.
