There are now more than 200 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Derbyshire following the latest rise.

A PHE spokesperson said the actual number of people who have tested positive for coronavirus is likely to be “much higher” than official figures show in every area as only hospital patients and NHS staff are currently being tested for the virus. The majority of people showing symptoms are asked to self-isolate at home and will not be tested.

As of 9am today (29 March), 19,522 people in the UK have tested positive for coronavirus.

As of 5pm yesterday (28 March), 1,228 patients in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus have died.
