Chesterfield Pride to host virtual party tonight - here's how you can join in

Chesterfield Pride is running a special online party so people can go clubbing from their own homes.

The virtual gathering is being streamed via Facebook from 9pm tonight, Monday, April 1, and people are being asked to log on as an escape from isolation.

Dan Walker, 40, chief organiser of Chesterfield Pride, will be runnung the music for the evening and said he promises to include requests.

He said: "The Lockdown party is an idea to have me DJing from home where people could request songs, talk about previous events and what they are looking forward to.

"Many people are feeling locked away from their friends, so by running a live stream people can communicate and interact with requesting songs and talking to each other."

A post on their Facebook page, says: "all you have to do is pour yourself a drink, tune in and join the party."
