The areas of Chesterfield and north Derbyshire with the most new cases of coronavirus

The coronavirus infection rate in Chesterfield and north Derbyshire remains far below the national average, but some parts of the region are worse affected than others.

Across Chesterfield, 13 people tested positive for Covid-19 during the seven days to September 16, giving a weekly infection rate of 12.4 new cases per 100,000 population.

In Derbyshire, there were 164 confirmed cases during the same period, meaning the weekly infection rate there was 20.4 new cases per 100,000 population.

Both are lower than the rate of 35.3 for England as a whole during that week.

These are all the parts of Chesterfield and north Derbyshire where three or more cases of Covid-19 were confirmed during the week ending on Wednesday, September 16, the latest period for which reliable data is available.
