Coronavirus LIVE: First confirmed Covid-19 case in Sheffield as UK number soars to 590

The first case of coronavirus in Sheffield has been confirmed, with other cases already known about in Barnsley, Rotherham, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

13 cases of coronavirus have now been reported across South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

The total number of cases worldwide stood at 126,258 this morning (March 12) with 4,638 deaths.

In the UK 10 people have died, with two other Britons dying overseas. The total number of cases in the UK is 590.
