Chesterfield school reveals 'partial' reopening plans

A Chesterfield secondary school has revealed details of how it plans to reopen its doors on June 1 to some students.

Brookfield Community School says in a letter to parents that it expects to begin some ‘face to face’ support for students in years 10 and 12 – although it does not expect them to return on a full-time basis at this stage.

Headteacher Keith Hirst says to parents: “Over the coming days, the school leadership team will be meeting to plan for this on-site learning as indicated above.

“Additionally, the provision currently being provided for children of key workers and vulnerable students will continue next term and during the half-term holiday.

“I assure you that the priority at the forefront of all our planning is, and will continue to be, your child's safety and well-being along with that of our staff.”
