None essential stores at Crystal Peaks shopping centre in Sheffield have closed amid the coronavirus crisis.

The shopping centre said the stores are ‘temporarily closed until further notice’.

The entrance policies and opening times of stores that are remaining open at the Sheffield shopping mall will vary and it is recommended that customers check directly with individual retailers prior to visiting the centre.

Food shops that will continue to trade will be Sainsbury’s, M&S, Iceland, Poundbakery, Greggs, One Below, Domino’s, Poundland and Toppings Pies.

Pharmacy and health outlets remaining open are Lloyds Pharmacy, Boots, Superdrug, Wilko, Boots Opticians for emergency eyecare and prescription collection only, Specsavers for emergency eyecare and prescription collection only and Holland & Barrett.

Also continuing to trade for the moment are WHSmith, Natwest, Halifax, The Nottingham, Blundells, WH Brown, Sainsbury’s Petrol Station and Halfords Autocentre.

Centre manager Lee Greenwood said: “In these difficult times we would urge everybody to think long and hard about how important their visit is.

“If you really do need to visit one of the shops that is staying open for trading then we would ask you to strictly observe all guidelines on social distancing.

“We take great pride in our standards of hygiene at all times and can assure visitors that those standards are not only being met but exceeded throughout this period, with all public areas, including toilet facilities, being cleaned and monitored on an even more regular basis than normal.

“Thank you for your co-operation and assistance during this challenging period for our community.”
