Central England Co–operative has relaunched its supermarket in Market Street, Bakewell, following a makeover which it claims will enhance the shopping experience for customers.

The modern store has been improved with features including a fresh fish counter, a ‘Food to Go’ counter with options like freshly baked baguettes, a salad bar, and hot food.

It also offers an in–store bakery with a wider choice of freshly–baked bread and cakes.

Simon Hollis, the store manager of the Bakewell Co-operative supermarket, said:“I’m glad we can now offer the Bakewell community and its visitors a better shopping experience in our food store.

“We’d like to thank customers for their patience during the refurbishment and encourage them to visit us and see first–hand the exciting changes that have taken place.”

Visitors to the new–look brighter store will also notice it benefits from new shelving units and lighting – the purpose of which is to better display fresh produce.
