Matlock: Bus tender for grabs

Derbyshire County Council has put the contract for the M1, M2, M3, M4, 169 and 470 services up for £692,285.

Anthony Crompton, of the Local Bus Network, said: “We are advertising for a new tender to supply the service that currently runs for Matlock Town as a precautionary measure in the event that the operator of the current contract decides to serve notice.

“The operator would continue to provide the service until their notice period is finished and the new tender would commence after this.

“The new tender is also to the existing service specification so this would not affect local people as services would remain the same.”
