Chesterfield-based Avant Homes will construct 173 two, three and four-bedroom homes at the £340million development off Brimington Road.

Named Waterside Quarter, this part of the development will form a section of The Park area of the scheme and will be the company's largest site in the Chesterfield area to date.

The development will feature 11 of Avant’s latest housetypes across two, three and four-bedroom homes, four of which are entirely bespoke to Waterside.

Avant says each home features bi-fold doors, exclusive kitchen designs, full height tiling and more.

Although development was halted earlier this year because of the Covid-19 lockdown, work was restarted at the site in July.

The company said there was a ‘surge’ in demand for new properties at this time.

Avant Homes Central managing director, Stuart Rowlands, said: “Waterside Quarter is a hugely important development for us.

“We’ve wanted to get involved in a regeneration project for some time now and Chesterfield Waterside was a perfect fit for Avant Homes Central. It’s a crucial project that is completely transforming an area of the town that had been redundant for quite some time.”

He added: “Waterside Quarter is a development that we believe will be ideal for a number of different buyers such as those looking for their first home and young families. As well as quality, attainable design-led homes for those living in Chesterfield, we believe that it will also help bring other buyers to the area, further boosting the town.”

Chesterfield Waterside - which is one of the UK's largest regeneration projects and is expected to create up to 2,000 jobs - is set to eventually feature five neighbourhoods including housing, shops, offices, a hotel, a multi-storey car park and a new canal basin.
