The full list of every Wetherspoons reopening in Derbyshire on April 12 as chain announces 400 pubs will open up

Beer gardens, rooftop gardens and patios will be reopened at every Wetherspoons in Derbyshire from April 12, along with almost 400 across the country, as lockdown restrictions begin to ease.

Punters across Derbyshire will be allowed to return to their staple ‘Spoons’ next month, as the company which offers cheap food and drink confirmed a total of 394 of its pubs will welcome back customers as part of stage two of the Government’s lockdown road map.

On April 12, restaurants, cafes and pubs are legally allowed to reopen their services outdoors for the first time since the third national lockdown, but customers will have to stick to social distancing rules.

Wetherspoon pubs will open their doors to visitors from 9am to 9pm from Sunday to Thursday, closing slightly later at 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

However some establishments are expected to have restrictions on closing times.

The popular pub chain which is known for offering budget meals and inexpensive alcoholic drinks, will offer a slightly reduced menu and food will only be available from 9am to 8pm.

But customers will still be able to order contact-free through the Wetherspoon mobile phone app which enables staff to be able to take orders while punters, who pay online, remain at their table.

People will be able to go inside pubs to use the toilets and gain access to the outside seating area.

Wetherspoon which has 875 pubs across the UK, with 750 in England, confirmed test and trace will remain in operation along with designated hand sanitiser stations.

In a statement, Wetherspoon chief executive John Hutson commented: “We are looking forward to welcoming our customers and staff back to our pubs.”

The news comes after Boris Johnson confirmed pubs and restaurants in England will be able to serve customers outdoors from April 12 as the Government plans to lead the country out of harsh lockdown restrictions.
