Long-established Chesterfield law firm to set up base in Peak District
A long-established law firm with a Chesterfield office is set to establish a base in the Peak District.
Graysons Solicitors – which started in Sheffield in 1925 and also has an office on Saltergate in Chesterfield town centre – is set to take over the existing Favells’ private client practice on Station Road, Hathersage.
The firm is working “to provide a seamless transition for existing clients”, while Favells’ staff will transfer to Graysons.
Peter Clark, Graysons managing partner, said: “We’re excited to have the opportunity to serve the people of Hathersage and the wider Hope Valley area.
“We already have strong connections through our existing offices in Sheffield and Chesterfield so this is a natural move for us.”
The move is set to allow Favells to concentrate on it’s criminal defence practice.
David Lawson, Favells’ director, said: “We have very much enjoyed serving the people of the area over the years and are glad to be leaving our private client practice in Graysons’ capable hands.”
