Chesterfield law firm BRM raises over £9,000 for Blythe House Hospice through Wills Month
“The funds raised will make a real difference to local people living with a life-limiting illness, and their families.”
CHESTERFIELD solicitors BRM has raised thousands for North Derbyshire’s Blythe House Hospice in their latest Wills Month campaign.

The campaign saw BRM’s professional Will writing services offered in exchange for a voluntary donation to Blythe House – with a suggestion of £75 per person, which could provide over two hours of daytime respite Hospice at Home care.
The Wills Month campaign raised £9,775 for services supporting those affected by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses across the High Peak, Hope Valley, Derbyshire Dales, Chesterfield and North-East Derbyshire.
Since the start of BRM and Blythe House Hospice’s partnership in 2017, the annual Wills Month campaigns have raised almost £86,000 to help fund the hospice’s vital services.
BRM executive directors Rob Woodhead and Paul Berresford lead the Blythe House Hospice Wills Month campaign from the firm’s Chesterfield office.
Rob said: “We’re over the moon to have raised £9,775 for Blythe House Hospice through our Wills Month, taking our fundraising total to almost £86,000 since the start of our partnership nine years ago.
“As a local business, we know many families who have been affected by cancer in our community and have benefitted from their services, so it’s a pleasure to continue supporting them through our Wills Months and by sponsoring the Blythe House Hospice Chatsworth 10K.”
Paul added: “We couldn’t have achieved this total without our incredibly generous clients who supported our annual Wills Month for Blythe House Hospice – thank you to everyone who took advantage of our offer.”
Shane O’Reilly, CEO at Blythe House Hospice, said: “On behalf of everyone at Blythe House Hospice, I’d like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone at BRM for raising such an incredible amount of money through their Wills Month.
“The funds raised will make a real difference to local people living with a life-limiting illness, and their families. Just 28% of our running costs comes from the NHS. The rest is raised locally, through fundraising like this, our shops and gifts left to the hospice in Wills.
“Support like this from BRM is a brilliant example of how local businesses and their communities can help make sure people across North Derbyshire can access the care and support they need, when they need it., completely free of charge. We’re incredibly grateful.”
