All change for Maazi
It’s all go for a Matlock business as it closes one premises for refurbishment at the same time as opening a new one.
Maazi, in the Ritz Building, in Causeway Lane, will be closed until February 12 while it undergoes refurbishment including expanding into rooms above the existing restaurant and a new staircase. Loyal Maazi customers shouldn’t dismay however, as owner Irfan Shabir has opened Maazi 2 Go in the former Momtaz premises in Crown Square.
The new property will be used as a restaurant while work is ongoing at Maazi, but once the refurbishment is complete it will become a takeaway outlet. Irfan said he hoped once Maazi was finished it would be a landmark building for the town.
