Kazabian are the official tribute act to the mighty Kasabian, endorsed by the real thing and touring extensively around Britain and Europe.
Bearing an uncanny resemblance, they bring pounding beats and huge guitar-driven choruses to recreate Kasabian’s explosive stage show with unerring accuracy, delivering hits from across all of their albums.
Since the tribute formed in 2009 they have risen alongside Kasabian, performed over 300 shows and gained the full respect of Kasabian’s loyal fanbase and even added to it.
Support on the night comes from Derby indie rockers Castro.
There’s another tribute treat at the King Street venue on Saturday. October 4, courtesy of The UB40 Experience.
The UB40 Experience are an eight-man tribute to the kings of reggae UB40. The UB40 Experience pay tribute to all eight UB40 members including a three-man horn section.
The band members have played across the world with a range of bands and music styles. They frequently have special guests who have been in UB40, including legendary founding member and sax player Brian Travers.
The show consists of over 50 chart hits such as Red Red Wine, Kingston Town, Many Rivers To Cross, Food for Thought, I Got You Babe and many more.
Last but certainly not least, there’s a wonder-ful evening in store on Thursday, October 9, thanks to a visit from Miles Hunt and Eric Nockalls, from The Wonder Stuff.
Two leading figures from one of the chart-topping British band, this gig promises to be a memorable evening.
Frontman of 80s and 90s alt-pop hitmakers The Wonder Stuff, Miles Hunt takes to the Flowerpot stage with original Wonder Stuff violinist Erica Nockalls for an acoustic night of their hits plus new feelgood folk and intelligent, catchy pop sewn seamlessly and beautifully together.
Miles Hunt put the Black Country firmly on the map with his band The Wonder Stuff in the late 80s and early 90s, achieving numerous top 20 hits such as A Size Of A Cow, Welcome To The Cheap Seats and a No. 1 single, Dizzy, with comedian Vic Reeves. Hunt’s ongoing collaboration with Erica Nockalls sees a maturer musical journey producing a series of songs and albums that have received great reviews.
Doors open for all three of these gigs at 8pm.
Admission is £8 for Kazabian, £10 for The UB40 Experience, and £10 for Miles Hunt and Erica Nockalls.
