Since their formation in 2002 Le Vent du Nord’s rich and varied instrumentation, musical arrangements and interesting vocals have made them one of the most important Francophone ambassadors out of North America.

The four-piece group have won critical acclaim and audience adoration across Europe and North America and have an army of awards to demonstrate, including a Grand Prix du Disque Charles Cros, two Junos (Canada’s Grammys), a Canadian Folk Music Award, and ‘artist of the year’ at the North American Folk Alliance.

The group are particularly legendary for their live performances, with Le Vent du Nord’s gigs capturing all the energy and mirth of a Saturday night kitchen party.

In 2012 the group released their seventh studio album Tromper le temps (Fooling Time) which combines traditional Québecois songs with original compositions.

Support comes in the form of Will Pound, one of the world’s greatest harmonica players and a master of the English melodeon.
