Viral smash-hit comedian Gary Meikle shares life experience in Surreal  show touring to Sheffield and Nottingham

Award-winning comedian and viral sensation Gary Meikle will tour his new stand-up show to Sheffield and Nottingham.

Gary, winner of a Scottish Comedy Award, is booked for Sheffield City Hall’s Memorial Hall on October 3 and Nottingham Glee Club on October 7 this year.

The 50-date tour of his show, entitled Surreal, will see the cheeky chappy draw material from his own real-life experience. Topics will include social media, how to deal with burglars, single mums. small man syndrome and much more.

The comedian single-handedly raised his daughter from the age of 17 and became a grandfather at 39. His stand-up video about his daughter’s eyebrows went viral in 2019, leading to sell-out shows across the country. Hair extensions was another subject that Gary ranted about on his hugely popular social media videos which have triggeredmore than 150 million views.

Gary said: “2019 was such a surreal year for me when the videos took off, and I was just getting ready to hit the theatres across the country with this brand new show in 2020 when COVID hit. I’ve been stuck in lockdown with two generations of formidable Meikle women and let me tell you, after that, my daughter and granddaughter are just as excited to be waving me off on tour as I am to be getting on stage again.”

His Surreal show is suitable viewing for 16+ years.
