Their roles require the all-singing, all-dancing cast to add all-stripping to their repertoire.

Nick Smith, who is taking on the role of Jerry made famous in the film by Robert Carlyle, said: “The role itself is great fun but it’s also very busy as Jerry’s at the centre of a lot of the show so I’ve not had too much time to worry about that bit yet!

The other members of ‘Hot Metal’ are played by Andy McPhee (Dave), Andrew Booth (Malcolm), Shaun Hanrahan (Harold), Graeme Crawford (Ethan) and Armani Watt (Horse); all of whom are now taking their gym routines very seriously in preparation for opening night, with the exception of Andy McPhee who is enjoying a diet of pizza and beer to get ‘in-shape’ for playing the role of Dave who has issues with his weight.

The cast are regular performers with societies and groups from all over the East Midlands and have been brought together by Osker Productions for this production.

The Full Monty will be staged at Nottingham Playhouse from July 9 to 13, 2014.
