Night of comedy at Old Bell in Derby

Funhouse Comedy Club returns to The Old Bell Hotel, Derby, on Friday, February 24 for another night of laughter.

Headlining the night is the amiable Pierre Hollins with his compelling chatty style and absurd guitar posturing.

His ‘songs’ are jokes that rhyme, set to a guitar backbeat and cover topics from love and hate, to sex and politics. With a totally original voice he delivers his material with charm and irrelevance.

Supporting will be the fascinating El Baldinho with his individual style of comedy magic and mind-reading.

Also appearing will be the quietly confident, appealing and quick-witted Ben Briggs, who takes his audience on a hilarious journey with his amazingly funny stories.

Compere for the night will be the vivacious, naturally funny Lou Conran. Having trained as an actress she has appeared on TV and in theatre in the likes of Jo Brand Through the Cakehole (CH4) and The Borrowers (National Tour).

Tickets are £10 in advance.

The Old Bell Hotel is situated on Sadlergate in Derby city centre. Doors open for the gig at 7.30pm and the show starts at 8.15pm. For more information, go to www.funhousecomedy.co.uk
