'Natural clown' Rob Rouse brings multi award-winning comic talent to Peak District stage in Funny Bones show
Multi award-winning comedian and television favourite Rob Rouse is bringing his new stand-up show to a Derbyshire town.
Rob, whose screen credits include the BBC’s Upstart Crow, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Friday Night Project and Dave’s One Night Stand, will perform at Bakewell Town Hall on November 13, 2026.

HIs show, Funny Bones, is a relentlessly funny and daft evening of comedy from a one-man whirlwind who brings eerily relatable characters, a barrage of one-liners and manic energy to the stage.
Renowned as one of the most beloved and brilliantly bonkers on the circuit, Rob has won a fistful of awards including Comics’ Comic Best Act of the Year 2025 at the UK Comedy Awards and Best Act at the 2025 Yorkshire Comedy Awards.
He has garnered plaudits from fellow professional comedians. Greg Davies described Rob as: “One of my favourite comics. A very silly and funny man.” Nina Conteh said: “Rob is always hilarious, and has total command, without fail he leaves a room vibrant and joyful.” Marcus Brigstocke commented: “I have been helpless with laughter watching Rob on stage. Pure, joyful, hilarious stand up. He’s one of the best there is.” Kerry Godliman said: “Rob Rouse is a joy machine, a natural clown.”
Rob, who lives in the High Peak with his family, created The Comedy Village to bring the best laughter-filled shows to small villages in the Peak District. Justin Moorhouse will be performing at Baslow Village Hall on September 22 and at Bradwell Memorial Hall on September 23 in shows that Rob will MC.
Rob got into comedy during his final year at the University of Sheffield where he was training to become a geography teacher. After leaving university and just two days into supply teaching, Rob realise that the profession was not for him so he moved to London to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. Rob won Channel 4’s prestigious So You Think You’re Funny competition at the Edinburgh Festival in 1998, following in the footsteps of such luminaries as Lee Mack, Peter Kay, Dylan Moran, Tommy Tiernan and Phil Kay.
