A new kid-becomes-superhero family drama is touring in our region this weekend.

Freddy Dare and the Ginger Robber is about a schoolboy who is struggling to make any friends. But then he discovers a mysterious package at the bottom of a wardrobe, gets an invitation to take part in a dance competition and finds an unexpected visitor in the shed.

Will these things give him the answers he needs or will they lead to his ultimate downfall?

Find out at the Rose Theatre, Chesterfield Studios, Chesterfield, on Saturday, March 1, at 7.30pm or at Alfreton Community Hall, Mansfield Road, Alfreton on Sunday, March 2, at 7pm.

The production is by Cube Essential Theatre and brought to the venues by Live and Local.
