Bolsover Drama Group’s youth section stages Guys and Dolls Junior

More than 40 performers, aged 8-21 years, from Bolsover Drama Group’s youth section will tread the boards in next week’s production.

Leading lights are Callum Priest, 16, who plays slick gambler Sky Masterson, and Leah Bromley, 15, cast as uptight mission doll Sarah Brown.

Lochlan Tebb, 11, plays high-roller Nathan Detroit and Sophie Clifford, 18, his fiancee of 14 years and nightclub singer Miss Adelaide.

Producer Wendy Blunt said: “The youth section have worked so well to put on a great show. We are so proud of each and every one of them - they all bring so much to the production. They all have a willingness to learn new skills and help out in any way they can.

“The younger cast members look up to the teenagers and the teenagers look after the younger ones. We are one big family.

“We are proud that our policy at Bolsover Drama Group is that everyone is welcome no matter what their ability - there are no exclusions.”

Other members of the production team are Donna Knowles, Dawn Shearwood and Lisa Brunt. The older members of the youth section have choreographed the show.
