Award-winning comedy The 39 Steps is running in Chesterfield

A hit West End Olivier Award-winning comedy thriller is at Chesterfield’s Pomegranate Theatre this week.

The 39 Steps by John Buchan and Patrick Barlow is a spy adventure with lashings of comedy based on Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film.

Follow dashing hero Richard Hannay as he swashbuckles his way from London to the Scottish moors and back again, in a succession of encounters with beautiful heroines, ghastly murderers, double-crossing secret agents and a music-hall memory man.

Presented by Rumpus Theatre Company, the play runs until Saturday, February 8. Performances are at 7.30pm each evening with a Saturday matinee at 3pm.
