The sound of Wales comes to the Dales
In its 57-year history, the choir has performed all over the world and was the first choir from the western world to visit China.
Last December, a Christmas CD featuring the choir reached No 7 in the UK Official Album Chart.
Richard Huxley, concert secretary for the choir, said: “We are delighted to have been invited once again to sing in Bakewell Parish Church. It is a lovely church in a wonderful setting.
“We hope anyone staying in the area for the Bank Holiday weekend will take the opportunity to hear some wonderful music from one of the finest male voice choirs in Wales. “
He added: “We’ll be performing a selection from our repertoire including Welsh favourites, songs from the shows and other well-known pieces.”
The concert will also feature the choir’s popular tenor Alf Gladman and a young soloist Caitlin Drake.
It will take place in Bakewell Parish Church on Saturday, May 2, starting at 7pm.
Tickets to see the choir in action in Bakewell are £10 including refreshments.
They are available from The Bakewell Bookshop or on the door at the concert venue.
