Spital arts festival is back

It’s surprising just how much sheer creativity exists, quietly, unnoticed in every community! You chance upon a neighbour’s artwork, hear through the wall an instrument being played with great skill, or perhaps discover someone you nod to in the street takes amazing photographs.

It was much like this last year when the Spital community consisting of about 200 households decided to have an art festival. It was based at the little chapel at the centre of Spital, St Leonards- also used as a polling station during elections.

For two days residents of Spital mounted an exhibition of strictly local talent.
