Hide AdLes, who is chairman of the company, was inspired in his scriptwriting by the Mel Brooks’ film Men In Tights although there are also references to the Kevin Costner version in the panto.
Set in the fictional Rottingham, the actual location of the story is not too far from the Matlocks which will enable regional and topical jokes.
Song and dance numbers Sherwood Rap and Men in Tights are included as well as classic songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
Paul Nash makes his debut with the company as musical director and the show will be accompanied by Bill Templeman.
