Radio and TV presenter to host concert
Classic FM presenter and TV news anchorman Nicholas Owen is to host an end of summer celebration concert in Derbyshire.
Sinfonia Viva will perform a programme based on the theme of couples in Darley Park, Derby, on September 6.
The concert will open with Glinka’s mystical Russlan and Ludmilla Overture followed by Prokofiev’s Montagues & Capulets and Bernstein’s Tonight from West Side Story.
The programme has a cinematic twist which embraces John Williams’ timeless film theme Superman and Freddie Mercury and Mike Moran’s 1987 modern classic Barcelona.
