Performance poet Mark Gwynne Jones airs new show

PEAK District performance poet and radio star Mark Gwynne Jones will air his new show which mixes comedy, poetry and film.

His latest creation Just For A Moment will be performed on July 10 and 17 at The Old Club House, Buxton, as part of the festival fringe.

In his show, Mark, the star of BBC Radio 4’s Wondermentalist Cabaret, reveals how our thoughts shape our sense of reality.

“It’s something I became aware of when quite young,” he said, “someone gave me a book on meditation. With practice I discovered quietening my thoughts dissolved all fear and anxiety. It made me realise how powerful our thoughts and words are and how flexible our sense of reality is.”

Just for a moment... will draw on Mark’s time as resident poet in London’s central parks and his disastrous bid to entertain 2000 bikers with poetry at the World Superbike Championships .
