Derbyshire artistes will gather at The Fishpond, Matlock Bath, on Saturday, March 28, to raise money for fellow musician, Jolly Jock, who has been diagnosed with cancer.

The Dove Holes-based multi-instrumentalist, pictured, is unable to fulfill his bookings so his friends wanted to do something to help him.

Loscoe State Opera melodeon player Andy Martin, who is organising the concert, said: “It’s been no problem getting performers to give their free time. Jolly Jock is well loved and admired. We hope all his fans will come and support what we are doing.”

The line-up includes folk punk band Loscoe State Opera; cabaret trio Red Ruff; ukulele impresario Phil Doleman; Jake Thackeray tribute band, Jake the Box; folk blues singer Eliza P.

Sue Devine from Belper group Red Ruff, said, ‘Knowing what a big part of the local music scene Jolly Jock is, we were honoured to be asked to join in with the fundraising event and are looking forward to being part of the evening.”

Tickets £10. For further information, contact Andy Martin on 07947 7894276
