Local musicians Andy Cooper and Mick Doyle have injected new life into the local music scene by attracting new talent from as far as Brighton, London, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Huddersfield, Lancaster and even Cornwall to name a few.

Landlord Craig Tennick stated he wanted some new music in his pub and has helped by hosting free entry gigs, another way of bringing new life and blood to the town.

No matter what your taste is, organisers of the series of gigs hope you will be impressed by the musical diversity and raw energetic talent displayed by all the artists.

First on the bill this Friday will be Dale Rowles from local steampunk aces BB Blackdog.

The Friday Night Extravaganza gigs will continue right up to Christmas and re-commence in February with more exciting music from around the country.

Saturday night sees The Convulsions perform.
