A classic romance from 1945, David Lean’s Brief Encounter is set in a small café on a railway station, where housewife Laura Jesson meets up with doctor Alec Harvey.

Brief Encounter (certificate U) screens in QUAD on Friday, November 20 at 1.15pm and 6.15pm, also Sunday, November 22 at 4pm and 6.15pm.

David Lynch’s cult classic of ‘80’s cinema, Blue Velvet delves into the polished veneer and the white picket fences of USA suburbia to find the black heart that beats beneath.

After finding a severed ear in a field, a young teenager (Kyle MacLachlan) discovers a sinister underworld hiding in his seemingly idyllic home town.
