The production includes a variety of characters such as a lustful doctor, dissatisfied wife, flat-chested spinster who longs to be stacked like the Cairngorms and virginal vicar who find themselves propelled into “the permissive society” with the arrival of a falsie fitter.

Identities are mistaken, the wrong knockers admiringly fondled, and libidos burst out of enforced hibernation.

All this is commented on from the sidelines by an all-seeing housekeeper,

Producer Carolyn Garwes said: “We’re taking a bit of a punt on this one. We’re hoping it won’t offend the good ladies (in particular) of Hope – we have enough trouble with panto innuendo!”

Performances run from October 15 to 17 at 7.30pm. Tickets £8 are available from Hope Post Office or phone bookings can be made via Carolyn on 01433 620665.
