Guildhall performance for Heanor Musical Theatre Company

Last October, Heanor Musical Theatre Company presented it’s first-ever play Murder on the Dance Floor.

It was so successful when it was performed in Heanor and Codnor that the group is now taking it to Derby. For one night only they will perform it at the Guildhall Theatre on Friday, February 20.

Starting at 7.30pm, tickets are £10 each. The box office is on 01332 255800.

Murder on the Dance Floor, loosely based on a popular Saturday night TV dancing competition for celebrities, features a clever plot which will keep the audience guessing who is the culprit.

Musical Theatre member Debbie Twells, who is in the cast, wrote the play with former member Brett Hart. She commented: “We have a good cast of actors and it’s brilliant seeing our words brought to life. I’m sure the audience will have a great night out. We are delighted to be taking the play to the Guildhall.”

The producer is Trish Church, who joined the company last year. She is a prominent member of the Watson Players in Derby.

Chairman of the company is Kim Harris, who said: “We are very excited at producing this play again. We now plan to produce a play each autumn.”
