International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival favourites stream online

Fans of the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival productions in Buxton can now watch their favourite shows online.

The festival had to be cancelled this year but organisers launched a streaming service to ensure visitors could still enjoy their annual fix of glorious Gilbert & Sullivan.

G&S Opera TV offers a unique collection of all the Gilbert & Sullivan operas performed during the 26 years of the festival along with interviews and educational series available exclusively for subscribers. Just the ticket for a cosy autumn night by the fireside.

A new and exciting innovation is the launch of the first series of The Magic of Gilbert & Sullivan films written and presented by G&S expert Stephen Turnbull featuring a treasure chest of fascinating information about the operas along with rare musical illustrations.

And there is an abundance of all-time favourites - The Mikado, The Pirates of Penzance, HMS Pinafore and many more, performed by the acclaimed National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company.

Fascinating interviews with well-known G&S singers, directors and authors stream every Friday evening and each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, subscribers can tune in for an exclusive live-streamed film.

Not only are there high definition productions to watch but also digitally remastered archive material from the very early days of the festival featuring memorable D'Oyly Carte greats such as John Reed, Valerie Masterson and Thomas Sandford.
