Environmental fun and facts in Dronfield
Local groups in Dronfield have come together to create an exciting Environmental Fun Day on 8 April. Coming halfway through the second week of the school Easter holidays, it will include a quiz prize trail, water bug hunts, nature trails, crafting tables and grow your own bird food activities for the younger members of the community.
Don Catchment Rivers Trust, Woodland Trust, Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust and Think Ocean will have stalls setting out what we can do to help protect, maintain and improve our natural world.
There will also be help to tackle rising energy bills. The charity National Energy Action will be on hand to advise on dealing with debts and claiming benefits whilst Planet First Energy offer independent help to choose energy suppliers. Marches Energy Advice, SY Ecofit, T4 Sustainability and IMS Heat Pumps will tell you all you need to know about insulating your home and installing solar panels, heat pumps and the like.
They are just a selection of the more than twenty organisations that will have stalls across the three main venues, Life Dronfield, Peel Centre and Baptist Church, close to one another in the town centre. Full details are available on the event website at https://tinyurl.com/S18efunday.
