Derbyshire plague village hosts musical’s return

A musical based on the Derbyshire village which was hit by the plague is to be performed again in the community.

The production, entitled Eyam, will be presented on September 25 and 26 at 7.30pm in the village church.

Oldham Theatre Workshop return to the village with a new cast of young people to stage the musical nine years after first performing it in Eyam.

The show explores how the community was cut off from the rest of the world amid a story of sacrifice and heroism, set to powerful music. For tickets, contact www.coliseum.org.uk or 0161 6242829.
