Celebrate harvest festival at Vicar Lane
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
This event follows on from the Easter seed planting the centre hosted in April. Vicar Lane would love to see people bring back their produce grown from the seeds and enter them into the Harvest competition.
Between 10am-12pm, visitors are invited to bring their produce and crafts to enter into a series of competition categories. These include best grown vegetable, best Grown Fruit, best Cake, mini garden creation and a drawing or painting of Chesterfield. The competition is free to enter and open to all ages.

Produce can either be taken home or donated to Church of St Mary and All Saint’s community kitchen. Visitors will also be able to donate non-perishable items to the food bank on the day.
Between 10am-3pm, young gardeners can also have a go at making a mini scarecrow at the centre’s free workshop. These can then be entered into a competition to be judged at 3pm.
